ASF 2022 CONGRESS - THE FRENCH SCLERODERMA AND PARKINSON'S ASSOCIATION G-HEAT

G-Heat was present at this year's General Meeting of theFrench Scleroderma Association held on May 19, 20 and 21, 2022 in Talmont Saint Hilaire. The ASF is a non-profit association with almost 1,200 members. We were on hand to present G-Heat and talk to users of our products. Many ASF members suffer from Raynaud's phenomenon - also known as Raynaud's disease or Raynaud's syndrome - and are looking for ways to protect themselves against attacks.

WHAT IS THE ROLE OF THE FRENCH SCLERODERMA ASSOCIATION?

WORDS FROM THE ASF PRESIDENT

"The ASF congress brings together people with Raynaud's disease Raynaud's diseaseThe ASF congress brings together people with Raynaud's disease - who are often geographically isolated - and healthcare professionals, as well as professionals offering practical solutions to this disease. The aim is to provide verified information, documentation, practical information and support for medical research. For the association's president, it was important to come and meet people who had already used our products, and to make ourselves known to those who were unfamiliar with heated garment technology."

WHAT IS RAYNAUD'S DISEASE?

Raynaud's phenomenon, sometimes called Raynaud's disease or syndrome, is a blood circulation disorder in the fingers and toes that is aggravated by cold. When a person suffers from Raynaud's phenomenon, exposure to cold abnormally reduces blood circulation and the skin becomes pale, waxy white or purple.

WE INTERVIEWED CHRISTIAN, TREASURER OF THE ASSOCIATION, WHO SUFFERS FROM RAYNAUD'S DISEASE.

"In the morning, when I have to work on a keyboard, whether at work or at home-which is heated to 20°C-my hands are numb, so I can't feel what I'm doing and it's hard to manipulate anything.

We're less skilful, until the coffee break when we warm our hands with a hot drink. In summer, my hands are cold and my fingers are like ice cubes. I can't feel my hands, I can pick up a sheet of paper or a tool, I can't feel a thing..."

THE COMMITMENT OF G-HEAT

Raynaud's disease - or syndrome - is a real scourge for sufferers. It can become a real handicap in everyday life. There is still far too little research being carried out, and potential sufferers don't know enough about the disease to understand what causes it, or how to alleviate the pain on a daily basis.

G-Heat is committed to helping people suffering from Raynaud's phenomenon, and carries out research into this little-known disease in order to develop and design products adapted to their needs.
